We participate in FIRST which stands for “For the Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology”. Our goal as a team is to educate and inspire people in this field. Our team loves to reach out into the community and help others. In 2012 our team became the only team from Kentucky to win the World Championship. We want to try and make it happen again.

 

On January 30th, 2016 our team competed in the Kentucky State Robotics Championship in Owensboro, KY. We were very blessed and received the Inspire Award. The Inspire Award is given to the team that truly embodied the ‘challenge’ of the FTC program. The team that receives this award is a strong ambassador for FIRST programs and a role model FTC team. This team is a top contender for many other judged awards and is a gracious competitor. The Inspire Award Winner is an inspiration to other teams, acting with Gracious Professionalism™ both on and off the playing field. In receiving this award we were invited to the South Super-Regionals in San Antonio, Texas. In this competition our robot and team played very well and came in 3rd place overall out of 72 teams. At the World Competition we did very well and placed 14th in our division on 64. It was a great experience for us to learn and get new ideas of how to improve this next season.
